CellNano Solutions

Nanocellulose can be defined as a cellulose material with an extremely high specific area, high porosity with excellent pore inter-connectivity, high stiffness, low weight, low toxicity and high biodegradability. The hydroxyl groups, –OH, on the cellulose backbone of Nanocellulose enable facile functionalization of Nanocellulose that introduces the desired functionality that can benefit several applications.

There are mainly 2 varieties :

  • Nanofibrillated cellulose ( NFC) Or Cellulose nanofibrils ( CNF)

    ( Dimensions : diameter < 100 nm , length < 2 µm )

  • Nano crystalline cellulose (NCC) or Cellulose nano crystals (CNC)

    ( Dimensions : diameter < 100 nm , length < 600 µm )
